Ken served as the musical co-director for The Rick Slyter Band through the ’80s and ’90s. He later became a member of the award winning country-jazz quartet The Ten Gallon Cats featuring Jim Campilongo that toured with folk legend Peter Rowan playing at festivals including Telluride Bluegrass (Colorado), Strawberry and High Sierra in Northern California, and The Fat Fry in Santa Cruz, California. Ken then joined the Bay Area country music super group Mental Revenge featuring Joe Goldmark and Gary Wayne Claxton, and local favorites Johnny Dilks and His Visitation Valley Boys. Ken was also a member of the Bay Area’s “Best Alternative Country Band 2005” Valerie Jay and The Americanos, as awarded by the Bay Area Music (BAM) Magazine readers poll.
